Katherine Heigl admits that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this experience impacted how she raised adopted multiracial children. In an interview, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her. But after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was conscious of the differences their lives were. "I inquired of my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd been treated in one manner when she was going out with us parents and a different way when she was out alone without them. Meg said, 'Oh yes, I've seen it all I've seen it all! Heigl addressed Parents about the moment she realised the naivety of her actions. Heigl said she got angry and felt that it was important to focus her anger towards helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- the musician Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old and Black, in 2012.
